Jakarta, ThedailyID — XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera Tbk has introduced special Hajj packages for Indonesian pilgrims, with prices starting from Rp355,000 and data quotas reaching up to 25GB.
The company launched the packages ahead of the 2026 Hajj season to ensure pilgrims stay connected while performing religious activities in Saudi Arabia.
Director and Chief Commercial Officer David Arcelus Oses said the initiative responds to the communication needs of Indonesia’s large Hajj population.
“Communication with family is essential during Hajj, whether through calls, messages, or video,” he said on April 23, 2026. “We provide complete packages with competitive pricing, large quotas, and reliable network support.”
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, around 221,000 Indonesian pilgrims will travel for Hajj this year. Therefore, stable connectivity has become a key requirement throughout the pilgrimage.
XLSMART allows customers from XL, AXIS, and Smartfren to purchase packages through apps such as myXL, AXISNet, and mySF. In addition, the company has opened Hajj service posts across 12 embarkation points since April 22, 2026. These locations include Bekasi, Jakarta, Medan, and Lombok, among others.
The packages vary based on user needs. For example, XL prepaid users can access plans with combined Indonesia and Saudi Arabia quotas, reaching up to 50GB. Prices for these plans start from Rp185,000 and go up depending on quota and validity.
Meanwhile, XL PRIORITAS offers a dedicated “PRIO Hajj” package. It includes 10GB Saudi quota, 30GB local data, and 100 minutes of calls, with a validity period of up to six months.
For Smartfren users, roaming packages provide up to 17GB of data starting from Rp449,000. Customers can also purchase add-ons for more flexible usage periods.
AXIS, on the other hand, introduces the “Mabrur” starter pack. It offers combined local and international data with options up to 50GB, starting from Rp345,000.
To ensure smooth usage abroad, XLSMART advises customers to activate data roaming before departure. Android and iOS users can enable this feature through their device settings.
Moreover, the company has partnered with major Saudi telecom operators, including Mobily, STC, and Zain, to maintain stable network quality during the Hajj period.
Currently, XLSMART serves around 73 million users across Indonesia. It operates more than 225,000 base transceiver stations, including 4G and 5G networks.
Overall, the company aims to deliver reliable and accessible communication services for Indonesian pilgrims. It also continues to expand digital solutions that support users both domestically and internationally.
