Jakarta, ThedailyID — Citilink has gradually resumed flights to and from Jakarta and Bandung starting at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, after several airports reopened following disruptions linked to the Anak Krakatau eruption.
Citilink Corporate Secretary & CSR Group Head Tashia Scholz said the airline restarted operations after Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Halim Perdanakusuma Airport and Husein Sastranegara Airport reopened.
“Citilink is gradually resuming flights to and from Jakarta and Bandung starting Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 7 a.m.,” Tashia said on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, in an official statement.
The airline made the decision after conducting a safety assessment. Citilink also considered the latest conditions and the distribution of volcanic ash.
The airline urged passengers scheduled to fly from 7 a.m. onward to check their flight status regularly. Passengers can use the Citilink website or mobile application to check for the latest information.
Citilink also advised passengers to arrive at the airport three hours before their scheduled departure.
The gradual resumption comes as airport operations return to normal, while authorities and airlines continue to monitor the spread of volcanic ash. The ash can affect flight safety, depending on its concentration and location.
“Citilink always ensures that all flights operate safely and smoothly, while continuing to prioritize aviation safety and security,” Tashia said.
Citilink also thanked passengers for their understanding and trust during the operational adjustments.
