Jakarta, ThedailyID — Indonesian environmental group Pandawara Group has officially earned two Guinness World Records, further expanding its global recognition for environmental activism and social media influence.
The Bandung-based group announced the achievement through its official social media accounts while displaying two Guinness World Records certificates.
Pandawara received recognition as the environmental activist group with the largest TikTok following in the world. The group currently has more than 12 million followers on TikTok after gaining viral attention for cleaning heavily polluted rivers, beaches, and public spaces across Indonesia.
Pandawara also secured a second Guinness World Record after completing a recycling challenge involving the fastest time separating labels and bottle caps from five plastic bottles.
The challenge reflected the group’s broader campaign encouraging proper waste sorting and greater public awareness around plastic pollution.
The group consists of Muchamad Ikhsan Destian, Rafly Pasya, Mochamad Agung Permana, Gilang Rahma, and Muhammad Rifqi Sadulloh.
Since rising to prominence in 2022, Pandawara has built a massive audience through environmental awareness content and community-driven cleanup campaigns.
Over the past few years, the group became one of Indonesia’s most recognizable environmental movements on social media. Their videos often show rivers and public areas covered by mountains of trash before cleanup activities begin.
The group documents the transformation process and encourages viewers to take action in their own communities. As a result, Pandawara quickly attracted millions of supporters across TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms.
Moreover, many young Indonesians praised the group because they consistently combine online influence with direct environmental action.
Their content also sparked wider discussions about pollution, sanitation systems, and waste management in Indonesia.
In several cleanup projects, Pandawara collaborated with local residents, volunteers, government institutions, and fellow content creators.
These collaborations helped the group organize large-scale environmental actions in different regions across the country.
Meanwhile, the group’s storytelling style and emotional videos helped environmental content reach younger audiences online.
Supporters often described Pandawara as one of the few creator groups actively producing real social impact beyond entertainment.
The Guinness World Records achievements further strengthened the group’s international visibility.
Following the announcement, congratulatory messages flooded social media from public figures, creators, and internet users.
Many supporters described the achievement as a proud moment for Indonesia’s environmental movement.
Others praised Pandawara for proving that social media platforms can become powerful tools for positive change.
In addition, the recycling-related Guinness World Record carried a symbolic environmental message.
Separating plastic labels and bottle caps remains an important process in recycling and waste sorting systems.
Therefore, the challenge highlighted the importance of small environmental habits in daily life.
Pandawara said they hope their achievements can inspire more people to care about environmental issues and waste management.
The group also encouraged the public to participate in cleanup activities and reduce plastic waste consumption.
Going forward, Pandawara plans to continue expanding environmental campaigns and cleanup movements across Indonesia. Their latest achievement also placed Indonesian youth-driven environmental activism in the global spotlight.
