Rice prices also increased further along the supply chain.

At the wholesale level, rice prices climbed 0.61 percent month-on-month and 4.11 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile, retail prices rose 0.49 percent over the month and 3.10 percent from a year earlier.

Ateng said the figures represent national average prices across different rice varieties and regions throughout Indonesia.
