Jakarta, ThedailyID — Netzme and Ruangguru officially launched “Gang Dagang,” a gamified financial and digital literacy program designed for Indonesian MSMEs.
The program launched at Jakarta City Hall with support from the Jakarta Provincial Government and Bank Indonesia Representative Office for Jakarta.
The initiative aims to help MSME owners improve financial management and digital business skills through interactive learning methods.
Although MSMEs contribute more than 60% of Indonesia’s GDP, many business owners still struggle with financial literacy and digital adoption.
Many entrepreneurs reportedly continue mixing personal and business finances. Others also face difficulties calculating production costs and maximizing digital payment systems.
Gang Dagang introduces a gamification concept that places participants inside simulated business situations.
Unlike conventional literacy programs, participants learn through interactive challenges and practical business scenarios connected to real MSME activities.
Ruangguru also supports the program through enrichment classes designed to help participants apply lessons directly to their businesses.
The first cohort will include 50 selected MSME owners through an open selection process. The learning program will run for five months.
Jakarta Provincial Government representative Suharini Eliawati welcomed the collaboration and said the initiative aligns with Jakarta’s efforts to accelerate MSME digital transformation.
Meanwhile, Bank Indonesia Jakarta representative Roes Dina Martha praised the partnership as an example of private sector contribution toward strengthening Indonesia’s MSME ecosystem.
In practice, the program integrates Netzme’s payment ecosystem, including QRIS Soundbox and Digital Cashier systems, into the learning experience.
Participants will also join “Sales Race” challenges every two weeks to increase QRIS transaction activity in their businesses. The program includes a leaderboard system to encourage competition and engagement.
Netzme CEO Vicky G. Saputra stated that digital payment infrastructure alone is not enough without financial literacy support for MSMEs.
According to him, Gang Dagang reflects the company’s commitment to helping business owners grow through digital transactions and stronger financial capabilities.
Ruangguru additionally helped develop the curriculum using academic research and practical MSME needs.
The curriculum includes financial management, bookkeeping, profit calculation, debt management, emergency funds, digital finance, and funding access.
Besides the cohort program, the Gang Dagang game can also be accessed publicly through the official website as an interactive financial literacy platform.
The program additionally offers incentives for top-performing users, including opportunities to visit countries that already implement cross-border QRIS systems.
