Jakarta, ThedailyID — Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison has accelerated its artificial intelligence (AI) strategy while approving a total dividend payout of Rp3.57 trillion during its annual general meeting.
The company announced the results of its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) on May 5. The meeting marked a new phase of growth as Indosat strengthens its AI-focused strategy while maintaining stable financial performance.
President Director and CEO Vikram Sinha said the company is focusing on disciplined execution of its AI strategy to drive long-term growth and deliver value to shareholders.
“We aim to accelerate AI adoption while maintaining sustainable growth and providing tangible returns, including dividends,” he said.
Indosat continues to push its “AI North Star” strategy, which aims to position the company as a key driver of AI development in Indonesia. The transformation includes integrating AI across core operations to improve customer experience, boost productivity, and enhance cost efficiency.
The company is also expanding beyond connectivity services into an AI-driven technology company. This includes developing capabilities in cloud computing, cybersecurity, and sovereign AI.
A key part of this strategy is its partnership with NVIDIA, announced at the NVIDIA GTC 2026 event. Through this collaboration, Indosat uses accelerated computing platforms and AI models to build local AI solutions.
Indosat has also introduced “Sahabat-AI,” a collaborative platform that expands access to AI tools for developers, businesses, and institutions in Indonesia. The platform aims to support solutions tailored to local language and market needs.
To support wider adoption, the company is building a distributed “AI Grid.” The system uses its national network and data centers to expand access to AI computing across regions, including areas outside major cities.
Board Changes and Leadership
Shareholders approved several leadership changes during the meeting. The company appointed Reski Damayanti, Apoorva Mehrotra, and Honesti Basyir as new directors.
It also appointed Seppalga Ahmad as commissioner.
These changes aim to strengthen execution and support the company’s transformation strategy.
