Jakarta, ThedailyID — Indonesia’s benchmark Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) rose 33.76 points, or 0.55%, to 6,141 at the close of Friday’s first trading session.
According to RTI Business, the index opened at 6,112 before moving between an intraday low of 6,079 and a high of 6,153.
A total of 320 stocks advanced, while 275 declined and 192 ended unchanged. Market capitalization stood at Rp10,716.5 trillion.
Trading volume reached 15.75 billion shares, with a transaction value of Rp7.23 trillion. The market recorded approximately 1.15 million transactions during the morning session.
Foreign investors remained net buyers, recording Rp1.22 trillion in net purchases across all markets.
In the regular market, foreign investors posted a net buy of Rp283.41 billion. Meanwhile, net purchases in the negotiated and cash markets reached Rp940.73 billion.
Based on total trading volume of 30.6 billion shares, domestic investors accounted for 83.81%, or around 25.65 billion shares. Foreign investors contributed the remaining 16.19%, equivalent to about 4.95 billion shares.
Trading value totaled Rp13.4 trillion. Foreign investors bought Rp4.8 trillion worth of shares and sold Rp3.6 trillion. Meanwhile, domestic investors recorded Rp8.6 trillion in purchases and Rp9.8 trillion in sales.
The exchange logged 2.32 million transactions overall. Domestic investors accounted for 87.36% of trading activity, while foreign investors contributed the remaining 12.64%.
