Jakarta, ThedailyID — Forum Pewarta Bisnis & Ekonomi (Fortabise) held the Fortabise Padel Championship 2026 on May 9, 2026. The event brought together corporate representatives and national business journalists through one of Indonesia’s fastest-growing sports.
The tournament created a competitive yet relaxed atmosphere. At the same time, it strengthened relationships between media, corporations, and industry stakeholders. Organizers also prepared prizes and door prizes worth tens of millions of rupiah.
Padel has recently gained popularity among executives and professionals in Indonesia. Therefore, organizers viewed the sport as a fresh platform for networking outside formal business settings.
Director of Jakarta Future Exchange, Syarifah Nuly Nazlia, emphasized the importance of maintaining productive relations between businesses and the media.
“Events like this create space for stronger connections and cross-sector collaboration, especially between industry players and business media,” she said during the event.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Fortabise Padel Championship 2026, Sufri Yuliardi, said the tournament was designed as more than just a sports competition.
“Padel is currently very popular among professionals. We see this as a new way to build networking in a relaxed but still productive environment,” he said.
In the Men’s Double category, PT Patra Drilling Contractor secured first place. Wilmar International followed in second place. Meanwhile, CIMB Niaga Finance and PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) finished in third and fourth place.
For the Women’s Double category, PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) won first place. Meanwhile, PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk secured second and fourth place. A national media team finished in third place.
The event also received support from major companies across sectors. They included PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, PT Jamkrindo, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk, PT Summarecon Agung Tbk, PT Asuransi Jiwa Inhealth Indonesia, PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia, Telkomsel, and PT Bank Mandiri Taspen.
The strong corporate participation showed how media community events continue evolving. Many companies now view these activities as important platforms for sustainable business communication.
