Jakarta, ThedailyID — Cristiano Ronaldo and his longtime partner, Georgina Rodriguez, are reportedly set to marry this weekend, according to Portuguese media.
The speculation emerged after Portuguese television programme V+ Fama claimed it had obtained a document believed to be the couple’s wedding invitation. The reported ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, August 1, at 5:00 p.m. local time.
According to the report, the wedding will take place at Quinta da Regaleira, a historic estate in Sintra, Portugal.
When contacted by the programme, representatives of the venue declined to confirm or deny the report. They also refused to comment on the property’s booking schedule.
The venue’s response has fuelled further speculation. However, neither Ronaldo nor Rodriguez has publicly confirmed the reports.
“We were initially sceptical about this information, but the venue’s response raised new questions,” V+ Fama presenter Adriano Silva Martins said, as quoted by Caras.
“The management chose not to comment instead of denying the possibility,” he added.
Earlier rumours suggested that Madeira, Ronaldo’s birthplace, would host the wedding. However, the alleged invitation has shifted attention to Sintra.
Until the couple issues an official statement, reports of the wedding remain unconfirmed.
