Jakarta, ThedailyID — WeTV and Hitmaker Studios held the gala premiere of their latest original series, Sleeping with the Enemy, at Cinépolis Cinemas Senayan Park in Jakarta on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
Directed by Rizal Mantovani, the thriller combines mystery, family intrigue, and dark romance. The series stars Cinta Laura Kiehl, Anthony Xie, Randy Martin, and Ersya Aurelia. It will premiere on WeTV on November 13, 2026.
The story follows Aruna Wirawan (Cinta Laura Kiehl), who loses her parents because of crimes committed by the powerful Sastranegara family. Determined to seek revenge and clear her father’s name, she adopts a new identity as Clara Aveline von Morgenstern.
Clara then seduces and marries Revan Sastranegara (Anthony Xie) to destroy his family from within. However, her growing closeness to Adrian (Randy Martin), the husband of Sheryl Sastranegara (Ersya Aurelia), complicates her carefully planned revenge.
Febriamy Hutapea, Country Head of WeTV Indonesia and Executive Producer, said the series explores more than just revenge. It also examines the psychological struggles of a woman determined to regain control of her life.
“What makes this story interesting is its psychological conflict,” Febriamy said. She added that Clara must live alongside the very people she intends to destroy, creating tension throughout her journey.
Rocky Soraya, CEO of Hitmaker Studios and producer of the series, said the production aims to reach audiences beyond Indonesia.
“With WeTV, we want to produce high-quality series that can be appreciated around the world. Since WeTV is available in many countries, our goal is not only to reach Indonesian audiences but also to meet international standards,” Rocky said.
He also described Sleeping with the Enemy as Hitmaker’s most expensive series production, designed to achieve an international look.
Director Rizal Mantovani said he wants viewers to question the characters’ motives and decisions as the story unfolds. He hopes audiences will continue debating whom they can trust even after each episode ends.
Cinta Laura, who plays both Aruna and Clara, described the production as one of her most enjoyable projects. She said her co-stars helped her explore the contrasting personalities of the two characters.
“Clara is strategic, logical, and constantly thinking. Meanwhile, Aruna has a softer and more vulnerable side,” Cinta explained.
The supporting cast includes Putri Patricia as Rosa, Aruma Khadijah as Ellie, Shinta Bachir as Livia, Karan Sukarno Walia as Dharma, Max Metino, and Mike Ethan.
WeTV released the official trailer on November 3 through its YouTube channel, Instagram account, and streaming platform.
Sleeping with the Enemy consists of 10 episodes, with new episodes scheduled every Friday through Sunday starting November 13, 2026, exclusively on WeTV.
