Jakarta, ThedailyID — Apple officially unveiled iOS 27 during its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2026. The update introduces new Apple Intelligence features, performance improvements, and a redesigned Siri experience powered by artificial intelligence.
One of the biggest additions comes to the Photos app. Users can now expand images beyond their original frame and remove unwanted objects more seamlessly using AI-powered tools.
Meanwhile, Safari gains several intelligent features. The browser can automatically organize tabs by topic and monitor product prices or stock availability across supported websites.
Apple also refreshed its Liquid Glass design language. In addition, the company claims apps can launch up to 30% faster, recently captured photos can load up to 70% quicker, and AirDrop transfers can run up to 80% faster than before.
The update will support a wide range of devices. Eligible models include the iPhone 11 series, newer iPhones, and the second-generation iPhone SE and later.
However, Apple Intelligence features require newer hardware. They will only work on the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, all iPhone 16 models, and newer devices.
The most talked-about feature is Siri AI. Apple says the virtual assistant can now handle more natural conversations and better understand context during interactions.
Siri can also help users find old photos, emails, documents, and messages. Furthermore, it can assist with writing, summarizing content, brainstorming ideas, and completing tasks through voice commands.
Despite arriving with iOS 27, Siri AI will not be available on every supported device. During the initial rollout, Apple plans to limit the feature to selected products.
These include the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone Air, and several supported iPad models. Apple expects to expand availability over time.
Apple plans to release iOS 27 between September and November 2026. Meanwhile, Siri AI will launch later in beta and initially support English only.
