Jakarta, ThedailyID — AIA launched AIA Signature Legacy, a whole-life insurance product designed to help affluent and high-net-worth families manage inheritance planning across generations.
The product combines life protection with structured wealth distribution. It also aims to reduce family disputes over inheritance while preserving asset value over the long term.
AIA said the product addresses a common issue among wealthy families. Many hold assets in property, businesses, and long-term investments. Those assets may hold significant value, but they are often not easily liquidated in emergencies.
AIA Signature Legacy seeks to provide liquidity when families need it most. It also offers long-term protection with high coverage and added benefits to support family financial security.
For affluent customers, the product also functions as income protection. If a breadwinner faces an unexpected risk, the policy can help families maintain living standards, support education plans, and protect long-term financial goals.
Harsya Prasetyo, President Director of AIA, said inheritance planning is not only about preserving wealth. It is also about protecting family harmony and creating long-term peace of mind.
Kathryn Parapak said affluent clients are becoming more selective in choosing financial solutions. She said demand is rising for products that combine protection with flexible legacy planning.
The product offers life protection up to age 80 or 99, depending on the plan. Coverage can rise to 120% of the insured amount.
Other features include accidental death benefits worth 100% of coverage, plus terminal illness benefits worth up to 60% of the insured amount, capped at Rp3 billion.
Policyholders can also receive a return of 100% of base premiums at the end of the policy term if the insured remains alive.
AIA offers premium payment options over two, five, or ten years. For the Signature Elite plan, customers can access coverage of up to Rp15 billion without medical checks, subject to conditions.
The product is available in rupiah, with a minimum insured value of Rp2 billion. It is open to applicants aged 18 to 60 under Signature Value, and up to 70 for Signature Elite.
Customers who choose Signature Elite also gain access to AIA Altitude. The service includes priority privileges, lifestyle benefits, and medical support in Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Members can access full medical check-up vouchers, priority customer services, and personal medical management support, including global assistance from diagnosis through recovery.
The product also includes access to AIA Vitality, AIA’s wellness rewards platform. The program offers incentives such as first-year premium discounts and cashback of up to 15%, depending on membership status.
AIA said the launch strengthens its strategy to offer broader wealth protection solutions. The company sees legacy planning as a growing need, especially as affluent families seek more structured ways to preserve wealth across generations.
