Jakarta, ThedailyID — Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI) has delivered a record-breaking start, with pre-orders boosting Take-Two Interactive’s latest financial results.

The publisher reported US$1.39 billion (Rp24.74 trillion) in net bookings for the quarter ending June 30, driven largely by strong early demand for the highly anticipated title.

Rockstar Games opened GTA VI pre-orders on June 25, just five days before the quarter closed. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said the response exceeded expectations and described the volume of pre-orders as “unprecedented and astonishing.”

Despite the strong momentum, Zelnick said the company would wait until the game launches before declaring success.

Rockstar sells the Standard Edition for US$79.99, while the Ultimate Edition costs US$99.99 and includes exclusive in-game content.

The game is scheduled for a global release on November 19, with an extended trailer set to debut on Netflix later this month. Although Take-Two reported a 3% decline in overall net bookings and a wider net loss of US$34.1 million, the company maintained its fiscal 2027 forecast of US$8.0 billion to US$8.2 billion, citing continued confidence in GTA VI.
