Jakarta, ThedailyID — Summarecon secured another international achievement after Summarecon Bandung won the Urban Regeneration category at the Real Estate Asia Built Environment Awards 2026.
The award ceremony took place in Singapore on May 28. Hindarko Hasan, Executive Director of Summarecon Bandung, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
The recognition highlights Summarecon Bandung’s transformation of the Gedebage area in eastern Bandung. The company completed the transformation in just 11 years.
The project combines residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments. It also prioritizes sustainability, green spaces, and long-term urban planning.
President Director Adrianto P. Adhi said the award reflects Summarecon’s commitment to building integrated townships. He added that the company aims to create economic, social, and environmental value.
Meanwhile, Hindarko Hasan said the development focuses on balancing modern urban growth with environmental sustainability. Green spaces, connectivity, and quality of life remain key priorities.
Several facilities support that vision. These include Taman Sumringah, Summarecon Mall Bandung, and pedestrian-friendly public areas.
The township also benefits from strong transportation access. Residents can reach the Gedebage Toll Gate directly from the area.
In addition, the Whoosh high-speed railway strengthens regional connectivity. The Tegalluar Summarecon station is only about 10 minutes away.
Summarecon Bandung began development in 2015. Since then, the company has built more than 27 hectares of lakes and city parks.
The project has also launched more than 2,000 residential units. Its newest luxury cluster, Xandari, starts at Rp28 billion per unit.
Commercial activity continues to grow across the township. Major tenants include McDonald’s, Bakmi GM, Texas Chicken, and several lifestyle brands.
Summarecon Mall Bandung opened in 2024. Since then, it has helped drive new economic activity in eastern Bandung.
The township also features educational facilities. These include Al Azhar Summarecon Bandung Islamic School, Sedaya Bintang Integrated School, and ITB Innovation Park.
Healthcare facilities and places of worship further support the growing community.
Real Estate Asia said innovation and sustainability played important roles in the judging process. Those factors helped Summarecon Bandung secure the Urban Regeneration award.
Today, the development stands as one of Indonesia’s leading urban transformation projects. It also supports Bandung’s vision of creating a new growth center in the eastern part of the city.
