Jakarta, ThedailyID — Standard Chartered Indonesia has received two major honors at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026, earning recognition as Best Bank for Large Corporates in Indonesia and Best Investment Bank for Debt Capital Markets in Indonesia.
The awards recognize financial institutions for their performance, innovation, customer impact, and market leadership. Euromoney has organized the annual awards program for more than four decades.
Chief Executive Officer Donny Donosepoetro said the recognition reflects Standard Chartered’s role in supporting financing, transaction banking, and capital market access for the Indonesian government, state-owned enterprises, financial institutions, and large corporations.
“We will continue delivering relevant financial solutions by combining our deep understanding of the Indonesian market with Standard Chartered’s international capabilities,” Donosepoetro said.
In the corporate banking category, Euromoney recognized the bank’s ability to structure cross-border financing solutions for major Indonesian and multinational companies.
Among the transactions highlighted was Standard Chartered’s role in arranging Danantara’s multi-currency revolving credit facility of up to US$10 billion. The bank also served as a joint lead manager, bookrunner, and rating advisor for PT Danantara Investment Management’s inaugural dual-tranche US$1.5 billion bond issuance in June 2026.
Meanwhile, the award for debt capital markets recognized Standard Chartered’s contribution to helping the Indonesian government, state-owned enterprises, financial institutions, and corporations raise funds through international bond markets.
The bank has supported Indonesia’s international bond issuances since 2009, helping raise more than US$55 billion. In 2025, Standard Chartered acted as a joint lead manager for several sovereign bond offerings, including U.S. dollar bonds, global sukuk, CNH Dim Sum bonds, and Indonesia’s inaugural Australian dollar Kangaroo bond.
Amit Verma, Head of Coverage for Corporate & Investment Banking at Standard Chartered Indonesia, said the awards demonstrate clients’ confidence in the bank’s ability to execute complex financing transactions.
He added that the bank, which has operated in Indonesia for more than 160 years, remains committed to supporting the country’s government, financial institutions, state-owned enterprises, and corporate sector through financing, transaction banking, and capital market solutions.
The Euromoney recognition adds to a series of awards Standard Chartered Indonesia has received over the past two years, including honors from The Asset Triple A Treasury Awards 2026, The Asset Triple A Private Capital Awards 2025, and the Detik Awards 2025.
