Jakarta, ThedailyID — Spotify launched a new feature called “Reserved” on Thursday, May 21, 2026, to help loyal fans secure concert tickets more easily before public sales begin.
According to reports, the feature identifies dedicated listeners using streaming activity, sharing behavior, and Premium account engagement. The system also aims to filter out bots and ticket scalpers that often dominate concert ticket sales.
Through the program, Spotify reserves up to two tour tickets for selected users during an exclusive purchase window before tickets become available to the general public.
The company introduced the feature under the slogan, “You show up for the artist, Spotify shows up for you.”
In addition, Spotify stated that it will not charge additional fees through the Reserved system. The platform said the initiative aims to ensure concert seats go to genuine fans who actively support artists through streaming and engagement.
The launch comes as demand for concert tickets continues increasing globally, while fans frequently complain about scalpers, bots, and inflated resale prices.
Analysts said the feature could strengthen fan loyalty and improve the concert ticket buying experience for active Spotify users.
