Jakarta, ThedailyID — SMARTFREN has launched its new brand campaign, “Jagoan Sinyal Se-Indonesia” (Indonesia’s Signal Champion), as part of a broader transformation aimed at strengthening network quality, improving customer experience, and reinforcing its position in Indonesia’s telecommunications market.
The initiative forms part of the strategy of PT XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera Tbk (XLSMART), which recently integrated SMARTFREN into its broader network and service ecosystem.
Director and Chief Commercial Officer of XLSMART, David Arcelus Oses, said the transformation aims to position SMARTFREN as more than just an internet provider. Instead, the company wants customers to see the brand as reliable, accessible, and closely connected to their daily digital needs.
As digital activities continue to grow, demand for stable and high-speed internet has increased significantly. Therefore, SMARTFREN continues to strengthen its 4G network while expanding its 5G Blanket initiative in several strategic cities.
Currently, SMARTFREN’s network reaches more than 400 cities and thousands of districts across Indonesia. Meanwhile, the company continues to improve network capacity and service quality to support streaming, gaming, video calls, social media, and other digital activities.
In addition to expanding coverage, SMARTFREN has introduced several service innovations. One of them is the Rollover feature, which allows customers to accumulate unused data on selected Unlimited and Kuota Nonstop plans.
The company also continues to promote its Kuota Nonstop service. Through this feature, customers can still access 14 essential applications even after their main data quota runs out.
These applications include WhatsApp, LINE, Discord, Gojek, Grab, Shopee, Tokopedia, Dana, OVO, LinkAja!, Lazada, Blibli, Bukalapak, and the MySmartfren app.
Furthermore, SMARTFREN hopes the rebranding effort will strengthen customer trust and improve public perception of its network performance. The company believes its integration with XLSMART will help deliver broader coverage and a more consistent internet experience.
SMARTFREN RUN 2026 Returns
Alongside the brand relaunch, SMARTFREN will also host SMARTFREN RUN 2026 in Jakarta on July 5. The event targets more than 7,500 participants and will feature 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon categories.
Group Head of Marketing Segment SMARTFREN, Astiyanto Tri Muktiwibowo, said the event serves as a platform for connecting with customers through healthy and community-focused activities.
Moreover, SMARTFREN RUN 2026 has secured a World Athletics-certified racecourse and received official sanctioning from Indonesia’s Athletics Association (PB PASI). As a result, the event meets international standards for race management, safety, and course measurement.
The company has also introduced a Zero Waste to Landfill initiative for this year’s event. Participants will separate waste by type, while waste management partners will process all collected materials to prevent landfill disposal.
In addition, the event will feature community zones, interactive games, digital experience booths, food and retail areas, and a special performance by DJ Panda.
Organizers have prepared Rp300 million in prize money for podium finishers. Participants will also have the chance to win door prizes worth hundreds of millions of rupiah.
