Jakarta, ThedailyID — PT Surveyor Indonesia (PTSI) is strengthening its services for Indonesia’s coal and critical mineral supply chains through advanced testing technology and precision assurance.
The state-owned Testing, Inspection, Certification, and Consulting (TICC) company will showcase its capabilities at Coaltrans Asia 2026 and the International Critical Minerals and Metals Summit (ICMMS) Indonesia 2026.
Both events will take place in Bali from September 27 to 30, 2026.
PTSI will feature technologies designed to improve accuracy across mineral and coal supply chains. These include Inductively Coupled Plasma–Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) and millimeter-accurate 3D laser scanners.
ICP-MS can detect trace metal elements at very low concentrations. Meanwhile, 3D laser scanners can support real-time stock inventory and site mapping.
PTSI also has 23 accredited laboratories and 18 operational sites across Indonesia. This network allows the company to provide localized verification services across different stages of commodity handling.
The services cover loading, unloading, and export verification for commodities such as nickel ore, ferronickel, and coal.
Helmy Satria Yudha, VP of Strategic Business Division for Coal and Mineral at PT Surveyor Indonesia, said independent verification has become increasingly important.
“The dynamic evolution of the mineral and coal sectors brings increasingly diverse operational challenges, particularly the urgent demand for trusted data regarding commodity quality and volume,” Helmy said.
He added that Coaltrans Asia and ICMMS 2026 provide opportunities to engage with global industry partners. PTSI will also use the events to present its broader assurance capabilities.
Beyond testing and verification, PTSI is incorporating sustainability-focused services into its offerings. The company aims to help mining businesses align their operations with global Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards.
Through transparent assessments of commodity quality and quantity, PTSI seeks to strengthen market confidence. The company also aims to support downstreaming initiatives and Indonesia’s role in the global energy transition.
