Jakarta, ThedailyID — Veda Ega Pratama dropped to eighth in the 2026 Moto3 standings after the Austria Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring on Sunday, September 20.
Veda entered the race in seventh with 97 points from 14 rounds. Malaysian rider Hakim Danish followed in eighth with 94 points, just three points behind Veda.
Veda finished 13th in the Austria GP and earned three points. Hakim Danish finished ninth and collected seven points.
The results moved Hakim to 101 points, while Veda reached 100 points. Hakim therefore moved ahead of Veda by a single point in the championship standings.
At the top, Spanish rider Maximo Quiles continued to lead the championship with 306 points. Alvaro Carpe sits second with 175 points.
Carpe moved above David Almansa after finishing third in Austria. Almansa’s points total now places him behind Carpe in the standings.
Veda had briefly climbed to fourth during the race. He held the position on lap 14 before dropping to seventh over the following five laps.
The Indonesian rider was battling with seven other riders during the late stages of the race. He then received a long-lap penalty for causing an incident while attempting to overtake David Munoz at a corner.
Veda served the penalty while running fourth with two laps remaining. The penalty eventually dropped him to 13th at the finish.
