Jakarta, ThedailyID — PT Mekar Investama Teknologi (MEKAR) has received three international awards in recognition of its efforts to expand sustainable finance and strengthen Indonesia’s real economy through productive financing.
The Indonesian fintech company earned the honors at the FinanceAsia Awards 2026 and WRISE Volare Awards 2026 in Hong Kong. The recognition highlights MEKAR’s growing role in connecting financial services with productive sectors that generate measurable economic and social impact.
Chief Executive Officer Pandu Aditya Kristy said the awards reflect the company’s long-term commitment to creating value beyond financing.
“These awards represent MEKAR’s commitment to redefining productive financing by delivering meaningful impact for communities,” Pandu said in a statement on Friday.
At the FinanceAsia Awards 2026, MEKAR won Best Strategic Initiative – Nonbank Financial Institutions (Indonesia). The company also received a Highly Commended distinction in the Biggest Sustainable Impact – Nonbank Financial Institutions (Indonesia) category.
On the same day, WRISE Volare Awards 2026 named MEKAR the Best Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Ecosystem Platform. The award recognizes the company’s approach to building an integrated sustainable finance ecosystem.
MEKAR said the awards reflect its transformation from a digital financing platform into a broader ecosystem that supports productive industries. The company now links financing with agriculture, renewable energy and food-related businesses to create measurable economic, social and environmental benefits.
At the center of this strategy is the MEKAR Ecosystem, which integrates financing with sector-specific support. The model aims to improve productivity while strengthening long-term business resilience.
One of its flagship initiatives is Multi Micro Agriculture Financing (MMAF). The program combines productive financing with agronomy support, satellite-based land monitoring, market access and agricultural value chain partnerships.
According to MEKAR, the integrated approach helps farmers improve productivity, optimize land use and build more sustainable incomes.
Beyond agriculture, the company continues to expand financing for small businesses and renewable energy projects. MEKAR said more than 80% of its financing recipients are women-led micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), reinforcing its commitment to financial inclusion and economic empowerment.
The company also supports waste-to-energy initiatives that convert agricultural and wood waste into renewable energy. MEKAR said the projects contribute to Indonesia’s growing circular economy.

Looking ahead, MEKAR plans to expand the MMAF program, strengthen strategic partnerships and increase the use of technology across its operations.
