Jakarta, ThedailyID — PT LOTTE Chemical Indonesia (LCI) has earned three internationally recognized ISO certifications. The achievement strengthens the company’s commitment to supporting Indonesia’s petrochemical industry through higher standards of quality, environmental management, and workplace safety.
The company received an Integrated Management System (IMS) certification from the British Standards Institution (BSI) Group Indonesia. Specifically, the certification covers ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management Systems, and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. The certificates are accredited by Indonesia’s National Accreditation Committee (KAN) and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).
LCI secured the certifications after completing a two-stage audit conducted by BSI. During the process, auditors reviewed company documents, evaluated operational procedures, and assessed compliance with international management standards.
Moreover, the audit covered both the site office and head office. It examined product quality management, environmental compliance, and workplace safety practices. As a result, LCI passed every assessment criterion.
President Director of LOTTE Chemical Indonesia, Yim Dong Hee, said the achievement reflects the company’s continuous efforts to strengthen its operational systems and workplace culture.
“This certification demonstrates that LCI continues to strengthen its systems and work culture in line with internationally recognized standards. We remain committed to using this achievement as a foundation to support a stronger and more competitive national petrochemical industry,” Yim said.
Through the three ISO standards, LCI will maintain more consistent, measurable, and well-documented operations. The standards cover product quality control, environmental management, and employee health and safety.
Meanwhile, Yim stressed that the certifications mark the beginning of a long-term commitment rather than the end of the process.
“This certification is not merely an administrative achievement. Going forward, we will continue implementing these management systems through regular surveillance audits and continuous improvement,” he said.
As a key supplier in Indonesia’s industrial supply chain, LCI produces petrochemical materials for plastics, packaging, healthcare, textiles, and automotive components.
Furthermore, the company believes the triple ISO certification will strengthen customer confidence and deepen partnerships with business stakeholders. At the same time, it aims to create long-term value while supporting a more sustainable and globally competitive petrochemical industry in Indonesia.
