Jakarta, ThedailyID — Indonesia’s Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment (Kemenko PM) launched the Perintis Berdaya Connect program in Bandung, West Java, to accelerate MSME growth and strengthen the grassroots economy.
The ministry introduced the program at Bandung Creative Hub on Tuesday, May 12. The platform connects MSMEs, cooperatives, and creative economy businesses with strategic partners.
Deputy for Community Economic Empowerment and Migrant Worker Protection at Kemenko PM, Leontinus Alpha Edison, said the initiative aims to help communities become more economically independent.
“Perintis Berdaya Connect is a real bridge that helps people move beyond dependence on social aid and become drivers of economic growth,” Leontinus said.
Meanwhile, the ministry also held a discussion session titled From Space to Opportunity: Orchestrating Community Business Ecosystems. The forum allowed MSME owners to share challenges directly with government officials.
According to Leontinus, President Prabowo Subianto has instructed ministries to strengthen MSMEs as a pillar of national economic resilience.
“Through this dialogue, we want to ensure our policies truly match the needs of business owners,” he said.
In addition, the event featured a business matching session. Entrepreneurs met experts and strategic partners through a People, Process, and Technology approach.
Participants also received assistance for business legality and certification processes. The support covered Indonesian National Standards (SNI), halal certification, and Intellectual Property Rights (HAKI) registration.
Leontinus said many MSME owners still need practical and fast solutions to compete in the market.
“Our focus is accelerating legal permits, SNI, halal certification, and HAKI protection,” he said. “We want MSMEs to commercialize products safely and confidently.”
Meanwhile, Bandung-based entrepreneur Alhar PP welcomed the initiative. He said the event helped business owners gain direct access to solutions and expert guidance.
Going forward, Kemenko PM plans to expand the Perintis Berdaya Connect model to other regions across Indonesia. The ministry said the move supports the government’s goal of building an inclusive and globally competitive economy.
