Israel Claims Trump Guarantees Iran’s Nuclear Program Will Be Dismantled

Jakarta, ThedailyID — Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that Donald Trump supports the complete dismantling of Iran’s nuclear capabilities ahead of a possible agreement between Washington and Tehran.

According to Netanyahu, both leaders agreed that any final agreement with Iran must fully eliminate the country’s nuclear threat.

Netanyahu made the statement after holding a phone conversation with Trump on Saturday night. Trump reportedly described the discussion as “very good.”

The Israeli prime minister stated that a future agreement should include the dismantling of Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities. He also said enriched nuclear material should be removed from Iranian territory.

“My policy, like President Trump’s policy, remains unchanged. Iran will not obtain nuclear weapons,” Netanyahu said in an official statement.

The statement emerged as negotiations between the United States and Iran reportedly moved closer toward a broader agreement. Trump previously claimed that discussions with Tehran had shown significant progress in recent days.

Meanwhile, Israeli officials reportedly remain concerned that Washington could eventually agree to a deal that still allows parts of Iran’s nuclear program to survive. Several Israeli sources told CNN that Israel fears Trump may prioritize reaching an agreement quickly.

Iran also accused Israel of attempting to disrupt negotiations between Tehran and Washington. Iranian officials claimed Israel continued pushing actions that could complicate diplomatic discussions.

Besides discussing Iran’s nuclear issue, Netanyahu said he and Trump also talked about reopening the Strait of Hormuz. The strategic route remains one of the world’s most important global oil shipping lanes.

Tensions surrounding Iran’s nuclear program continue affecting geopolitical conditions across the Middle East. The issue also remains a major concern for global energy markets and international security discussions.
