Jakarta, ThedailyID — Indonesian-descended fighter Bilal Hasan is eager to make history when he steps into the octagon at UFC 334 on November 14, 2026. The 25-year-old will face Luis Gurule in a flyweight bout on the main card at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Born in Hawaii, Hasan is excited about his first appearance on a numbered UFC event. He will also share the fight card with Stephen Thompson, one of the fighters he admires.
“I’m opening the main card. You know, this is crazy,” Hasan told Full Mount MMA. He also highlighted Thompson’s appearance on the card, calling the occasion significant.
“Stephen Thompson is one of the many people I admire in this sport. And this fight [UFC 334] will make history at Madison Square Garden,” he said.
Hasan also connects the famous New York venue with his admiration for Michael Jackson. He recalled the Jackson 5’s performance at Madison Square Garden on September 10, 2001, which he cited as a personal source of inspiration.
“I feel like this adds color to my life and my connection with Michael [Jackson]. I feel this was meant to happen to me. I will make history again,” Hasan said.
The fighter, nicknamed “The Indo Ninja,” heads into UFC 334 after a strong start in the promotion. He defeated Nilson Rojas on his UFC debut in Shanghai in August 2026, earning the opportunity to compete on a major numbered event.
Now, Hasan is preparing to face Gurule as he looks to build on that victory and make his mark on one of the UFC’s biggest stages.
