Jakarta, ThedailyID — PT AIA FINANCIAL (AIA) brought its AIA SILABUS educational bus to Universitas Indonesia on September 16, 2026, as part of its effort to strengthen financial literacy among young people.

Through the program, AIA is encouraging students to understand healthy money management, recognize financial risks and develop financial planning habits from an early age.

The initiative comes as financial literacy among Indonesian students and university students remains below the national average. Based on the 2026 National Survey of Financial Literacy and Inclusion (SNLIK), the financial literacy index for students stood at 62%, compared with the national average of 69.57%.

AIA said the figures highlight the need for continued financial education. The company aims to provide young people with practical knowledge that can help them make more responsible financial decisions.

“Through AIA SILABUS, we want to encourage young people to understand that good financial planning starts with simple steps, such as managing expenses, building saving habits and preparing for various life risks,” AIA Operations Director Wong Chung Chiat said, as reported on Thursday, September 17.

He added that financial literacy has become increasingly important as young people face more financial choices.

“We hope the knowledge gained through this program can be applied in daily life and shared with those around them, creating a wider positive impact,” Wong said.

During the event, UI students joined an interactive financial education session with Olivia Louise, a Certified Financial Planner and financial content creator. Maulidya Khairani, also known as Rancul, shared her experiences and perspectives on building healthy financial habits at a young age.

The event also featured a special performance by singer Nadhif Basalamah.

Beyond the education session, AIA SILABUS introduced its Financial Literacy Ambassador program. The initiative encourages students to share the financial knowledge they gain with friends, families and communities.

AIA said the program supports its participation in the GENCARKAN initiative launched by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The company aims to expand financial education while supporting broader efforts to improve financial literacy and inclusion in Indonesia.

Through AIA SILABUS, AIA is continuing to bring financial education closer to young people. The company said the program focuses on practical and interactive learning that connects with students’ everyday financial experiences.
