Jakarta, ThedailyID — Bank Mandiri reported a net profit of Rp15.4 trillion in the first quarter of 2026, reflecting a 16.6 percent year-on-year increase. The results, announced on April 21, 2026, highlight the bank’s resilience amid global economic pressures and market volatility.

The bank maintained strong profitability, with return on equity reaching 22.1 percent. Meanwhile, its capital adequacy ratio stood at 19.7 percent, providing a solid buffer for future growth.

President Director Riduan said the performance reflects the bank’s focus on synergy across sectors. He emphasized support for MSMEs, the creative economy, and digital ecosystems as key growth drivers.

“Our performance reflects not only business growth, but also our role in supporting the national economy,” Riduan said. He added that the bank aims to remain a strategic partner for government programs.

Bank Mandiri’s lending reached Rp1,530 trillion by March 2026, growing 17.4 percent year-on-year. This figure exceeds the industry average growth of 9.37 percent, based on data from Otoritas Jasa Keuangan.

On the funding side, third-party funds rose to Rp1,675 trillion, up 21.1 percent year-on-year. In addition, the bank strengthened its low-cost funding base, with CASA reaching Rp1,201 trillion.

Asset quality remained strong, with gross non-performing loans at 0.98 percent. This level is significantly lower than the industry average of 2.17 percent.

Meanwhile, Bank Mandiri continued to support national programs, including microcredit (KUR) and housing initiatives. The bank distributed Rp11 trillion in KUR loans, reaching over 87,000 MSMEs.

In addition, the bank supported social programs such as free nutritious meals and village cooperatives. These efforts aim to strengthen the real sector and improve financial inclusion.

Digital services also played a key role in growth. The Livin’ by Mandiri platform reached around 39 million users, while Kopra by Mandiri served 335,000 business users, most of them MSMEs.

The bank also expanded its ESG initiatives across financing and operations. Sustainable financing reached Rp320 trillion, including green and social portfolios that continue to grow steadily.

With strong fundamentals and continued expansion, Bank Mandiri expects to maintain stable growth. The bank aims to support Indonesia’s economic development through inclusive and sustainable strategies.
