Jakarta, ThedailyID — The Jakarta provincial government, in collaboration with the National Amil Zakat Agency’s Jakarta branch (BAZNAS BAZIS), has allocated Rp4.67 billion to help 2,810 residents recover their withheld school diplomas.

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung announced the second phase of the 2026 diploma release assistance program on Wednesday, October 28, following a Youth Pledge Day ceremony at Jakarta City Hall.

“The Jakarta government is once again providing assistance for the second phase of the 2026 diploma release program. There are 2,810 recipients,” Pramono said.

The total funding reached Rp4,671,693,000, he added.

Recipients include graduates of elementary schools, junior high schools, senior high schools, vocational high schools, Learning Activity Centers (SKB), and special needs schools (SLB).

Pramono said 289 recipients came from Learning Activity Centers, while three were graduates of special needs schools.

The program aims to help residents who cannot retrieve their diplomas because of financial difficulties or other obstacles. Pramono recalled that one recipient had been unable to collect a diploma for 10 years.

He said the partnership between the provincial government and BAZNAS BAZIS was intended to ensure more residents could access their educational documents.

Pramono also reaffirmed his commitment to preventing further cases of residents being unable to retrieve their diplomas, whether because of financial constraints, administrative issues, or other reasons.
