Jakarta, ThedailyID — KAI Logistik plans to strengthen its warehousing business in 2026 by developing modern logistics facilities in Bandung and Purwokerto.
The company targets the completion of the new finished goods warehouses by September 2026 as part of its strategy to expand integrated logistics services in Indonesia.
KAI Logistik Director of Business Development, Aniek Dwi Deviyanti, said the expansion reflects the company’s commitment to providing broader logistics solutions beyond distribution services.
She explained that KAI Logistik wants to strengthen its role within Indonesia’s national logistics ecosystem by offering more comprehensive operational support for customers.
The upcoming facilities will include food warehouses, chemical storage areas, office spaces, and other supporting infrastructure designed to improve operational efficiency and product safety.
KAI Logistik will also equip the warehouses with cold storage facilities to maintain food quality and durability during storage and distribution processes.
Besides cold storage, the company plans to install solar panels as part of its effort to improve energy efficiency and support environmentally friendly operations.
The company stated that demand for modern warehouse infrastructure continues increasing as Indonesia’s logistics industry grows rapidly.
According to industry data, Indonesia’s transportation and warehousing sector grew 8.04 percent year-on-year during the first quarter of 2026.
KAI Logistik noted that warehouses now serve not only as storage facilities but also as distribution and inventory management centers that help companies improve operational performance.
Before this expansion, KAI Logistik had already completed warehouse developments in Jakarta Gudang and Cirebon to support customer logistics operations.
The company said the latest projects reaffirm its commitment to providing efficient, sustainable, and competitive logistics services in Indonesia.
