Jakarta, ThedailyID — PT XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera Tbk (XLSMART) has partnered with Google to offer six months of Google Gemini Plus access to eligible prepaid customers of XL, AXIS, and SMARTFREN through selected internet packages.
The program, which began on July 2, aims to make artificial intelligence (AI) tools more accessible for everyday activities, including learning, work, content creation, and productivity.
According to XLSMART, the collaboration forms part of its strategy to deliver smarter and more inclusive digital experiences while expanding access to AI technology across different customer segments.
Chief Marketing Officer Alfons Bosch Sansa said the initiative allows more customers to experience AI in practical ways that support their daily needs.
“Through our collaboration with Google Gemini, customers can use AI to support learning, work, content creation, and many other everyday activities,” Alfons said in a statement.
Meanwhile, XLSMART has tailored the offer for each of its prepaid brands. XL customers qualify by purchasing an internet package with a minimum validity of seven days. AXIS users can access the promotion through the AXISNET app by purchasing eligible internet packages starting from Rp25,000. SMARTFREN customers can activate the benefit through the mySF application after purchasing qualifying internet packages with at least seven days of validity.
To redeem the offer, customers must activate the bonus through the myXL, AXISNET, or mySF applications using an active Google account. They must also keep their eligible internet package active throughout the promotional period.
Google Gemini Plus provides access to Google’s latest AI models for writing, research, coding, image generation, and data analysis. The service also integrates with Google Workspace applications such as Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Drive to help users summarize documents, draft emails, and create presentations more efficiently.
In addition, subscribers receive 400GB of Google One cloud storage, allowing them to securely back up photos, videos, documents, and other digital files.
The company emphasized that customers do not need a 5G package to use the Gemini offer. However, XLSMART said its expanding 5G Blanket network will help deliver faster and more reliable performance for AI services and other bandwidth-intensive applications.
Looking ahead, XLSMART said the partnership reflects its broader ambition to strengthen its role as both a connectivity provider and a digital services company by offering innovative technologies that improve customers’ daily digital experiences.
