Jakarta, ThedailyID — PT Whitesky eVTOL projects its 200-unit eVTOL pipeline could generate around Rp9.1 trillion in capital and financing needs over the next decade.
The company says the plan could also strengthen Indonesia’s Urban Air Mobility (UAM) ecosystem and expand its role in Southeast Asia.
The pipeline includes 120 aircraft from China, 30 from Japan, and 50 from Indonesia. Whitesky also added Vela Alpha to the pipeline during IITS × HEXIA 2026 in Cengkareng.
Whitesky Group CEO Denon Prawiraatmadja said the scale shows that Advanced Air Mobility should develop as an industry, rather than simply as a new aircraft category.
“When we talk about 200 aircraft over a 10-year horizon, it creates more than fleet demand. Financing, infrastructure, operations, maintenance, training, technology and supply chains will also develop,” Denon said, Friday (21/08)
According to Whitesky’s projection, the 200-unit pipeline could create around Rp9.1 trillion in potential capital and financing needs over 10 years.
The opportunity could attract banks, financing institutions, investors and other industry players. Whitesky believes Indonesia has strong potential as a strategic market due to its population, dispersed economic centers, travel demand and archipelagic geography.
“Indonesia should not only become an end-user. If financing, infrastructure and operating capabilities are built here, more economic value can remain in Indonesia,” Denon said.
Meanwhile, Whitesky sees Indonesia’s market development as a potential foundation for stronger AAM industry connectivity across Southeast Asia.
IITS 2026 carries the theme “The Global-South Mobility Atlas.” The forum highlights transport decarbonization and intelligent transport as potential drivers of future economic growth.
The event also promotes strategic market access between innovators and industries and high-growth markets across the Asia-Pacific region.
Denon said the pipeline from China, Japan and Indonesia gives Whitesky access to different technology platforms and industry networks.
“What we are building is not only a procurement pipeline, but an ecosystem pipeline. It is about bringing technology, capital and markets together so Indonesia can strengthen its regional position,” he said.
Through IITS × HEXIA, Whitesky plans to expand engagement with government, aviation companies, financial institutions, investors and technology providers ahead of AAM commercialization.
“Rp9.1 trillion shows that the future of UAM is also an economic opportunity. If managed properly, Indonesia could become one of Southeast Asia’s AAM growth centers,” Denon said.
