Jakarta, ThedailyID — The Indonesian government still owes PT Pertamina (Persero) Rp166.84 trillion in unpaid fuel and LPG subsidies and compensation as of August 2026.
Pertamina Finance Director Mega Satria said the outstanding amount includes Rp54.4 trillion in carryover receivables from 2025.
The total consists of Rp24.4 trillion in unpaid subsidy receivables and Rp142.44 trillion in compensation funds. Satria disclosed the figures during a meeting with Commission XII of the House of Representatives on Wednesday (26/8).
“The subsidy receivables balance stands at Rp24.4 trillion, while the compensation fund receivables balance is Rp142.44 trillion. The total receivables balance is Rp166.84 trillion,” Satria said during the meeting on Wednesday (26/8).
Throughout 2026, Pertamina recorded Rp236.98 trillion in realized fuel and LPG subsidies and compensation. This consisted of Rp76.58 trillion in subsidies and Rp160.4 trillion in compensation.
The Ministry of Finance had paid Rp141.53 trillion as of August 6, including Rp17.03 trillion toward 2025 carryover receivables.
Satria said Pertamina would continue to ensure energy subsidies reach their intended recipients while maintaining national energy security.
“Pertamina remains consistent in maintaining national energy security while continuing efforts to control fuel distribution,” Satria said during the meeting on Wednesday (26/8).
