Jakarta, ThedailyID — Persib Bandung will continue its preparations for the 2026/27 season by competing in the Dewata Challenge Series after finishing as runners-up in the 2026 Piala Presiden.
Head coach Igor Tolic will lead his squad into two preseason matches at Kapten I Wayan Dipta Stadium in Bali. The tournament will test Persib against both domestic and international opposition ahead of the new campaign.
Persib will face Malaysian club Sabah FC on August 15 before taking on Bali United three days later on August 18. Both matches are scheduled to kick off in the evening local time.
The mini tournament will also feature a match between Bali United and Sabah FC on August 13.
The Dewata Challenge Series forms part of Persib’s training camp in Bali, which runs from August 11 to 18. The club is using the camp to strengthen squad chemistry and assess player readiness before the competitive season begins.
After completing the tournament, Persib will shift its focus to the AFC Champions League 2026/27 playoff. The Indonesian champions will host Manila Digger on August 31 at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium.
Persib will then open its Super League 2026/27 campaign on September 6. Beckham Putra and his teammates will welcome PSM Makassar in their first league match of the season.
