Jakarta, ThedailyID — The Indonesian National Police held a traditional ceremony to hand over the Tribrata banner on Friday, October 2, 2026. The ceremony marked the transition of police leadership from General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to General Suyudi Ario Seto.
The ceremony took place at Bhayangkara Field at the National Police Headquarters in South Jakarta. Brigadier General Amostian, a senior Jibom technician with the Mobile Brigade Corps, served as the ceremony commander.
The event began with the Police March. Officers then saluted Listyo Sigit and Suyudi Ario Seto.
Sigit later handed the Tribrata banner to Suyudi. The symbolic handover marked the transfer of the top leadership of the Indonesian Police.
“This is part of the series of leadership changes within the Indonesian Police,” Police Public Information Bureau head Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko said.
Trunoyudo said the tradition also honors the service and contributions of previous police leaders. He described the ceremony as part of the organizational traditions of the Indonesian Police.
“This series of activities is part of the Police’s organizational tradition. It carries values that honor the journey and service of previous Police officials,” he said.
A day earlier, President Prabowo Subianto officially appointed Suyudi as the new National Police Chief. Suyudi replaced Sigit, who had led the police since January 27, 2021.
The appointment followed Presidential Decrees No. 96 and 97/TK/2026 on the dismissal and appointment of the National Police Chief and Deputy National Police Chief.
Prabowo also appointed Inspector General Wahyu Hadiningrat as Deputy National Police Chief. Wahyu replaced Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo.
Before the appointment, Wahyu served as the Police Chief’s Main Assistant for General Planning and Budgeting. Prabowo appointed Dedi as head of the National Agrarian Reform Agency.
