Jakarta, ThedailyID – PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia (KBI) is expanding outreach for its Is-Ware Next Gen warehouse receipt registration system ahead of Indonesia’s 2026 harvest season.
The company plans to introduce the system to more than 160 institutions and organizations. KBI is part of the Danareksa holding of state-owned enterprises.
The initiative aims to strengthen the Warehouse Receipt System (SRG) and support Indonesia’s push for food self-sufficiency. KBI runs the program under its annual Ramadan campaign, Ramadan Bergerak, which carries the theme “Menjaga Amanah, Mengalirkan Keberkahan.”
As the official Warehouse Receipt Registration Center (PusReg RG), KBI continues to promote Is-Ware Next Gen to improve transparency and security in warehouse receipt records. The system allows commodities stored in warehouses to be officially registered and tracked.
The outreach comes as Indonesia prepares for the March–April 2026 harvest peak. During this period, rising supply often pushes paddy prices down.
The Warehouse Receipt System offers farmers an alternative. They can store commodities and delay sales until prices stabilize. Registered commodities can also serve as financing instruments while helping maintain food supply stability.
According to Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), Indonesia’s paddy production could reach 17.65 million tons of dry unhusked rice during the harvest season. That amount equals roughly 10.16 million tons of rice.
The increase is driven by expanded planting areas. Harvest activity will mainly occur in Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and Kalimantan.
KBI says the warehouse receipt system also supports commodity exports, including seaweed. The company continues to support government programs such as Desa Bisa Ekspor and UMKM Naik Kelas.
Since its launch, Is-Ware Next Gen has operated in 10 commodity-producing regions across Indonesia. These include Aceh, Bengkulu, Lampung, West Java, East Java, South Kalimantan, West Nusa Tenggara, and South Sulawesi.
Farmers, fishermen, entrepreneurs, and warehouse operators have benefited from the system.
As of February 2026, KBI recorded 502 tons of registered commodities as preparation for the upcoming harvest peak.
KBI Director of Business Development and Operations Saidu Solihin said the outreach aims to expand public understanding of the warehouse receipt system.
“Through Ramadan Bergerak, we want to strengthen trust while improving services and stakeholder education,” he said.
Beyond the outreach program, KBI is also running several Ramadan initiatives. The company collaborates with Cariustadz.id to produce Ramadan content and distributes iftar snacks to communities around Menara Danareksa.
KBI and the Danareksa holding will also participate in the Mudik Bersama BUMN program on March 17, 2026. The company will deploy 14 buses to help people travel home safely for Eid al-Fitr.
