Commission III asked the Inspectorate of the Attorney General’s Office to conduct a full evaluation. The review will focus on the performance of the Karo District Prosecutor’s Office.

The commission set a one-month deadline. It asked the office to submit a written report after completing the evaluation.

Lawmakers also urged authorities to investigate alleged intimidation against Amsal Christy Sitepu. They raised concerns about possible involvement of prosecutors and internal officials in the case.

In addition, Commission III called for an investigation into other alleged violations. The issue relates to a court ruling from the Medan District Court that authorities did not enforce. Lawmakers also warned about attempts to shape public opinion against the DPR.

The commission asked the Judicial Commission to conduct a case examination. This step aims to review the overall performance of the prosecution service. Chairperson Habiburokhman led the meeting and stressed the need for transparency and accountability. He said the legal process must remain fair and follow the principles of the Criminal Procedure Code.
