Jakarta, ThedailyID — PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Persero), known as Jamkrindo, has partnered with PT Bank Hibank Indonesia (hibank) to expand credit guarantee services in the digital banking sector. The agreement marks Jamkrindo’s first collaboration with a digital bank.
The partnership aims to expand Jamkrindo’s market reach while supporting hibank’s credit risk management. Both companies expect the collaboration to create new business opportunities in Indonesia’s growing digital finance ecosystem.
Jamkrindo Director of Business and Institutional Development Krisna Johan said the agreement reflects the company’s strategy to strengthen growth through technology-driven partnerships.
“Collaboration with hibank opens opportunities for Jamkrindo to expand its guarantee business within the digital ecosystem. We hope this partnership will create added value for both parties while maintaining prudential principles and measurable risk management,” Krisna said.
The initial agreement carries an estimated business opportunity of around Rp500 billion. In addition, Jamkrindo sees potential to provide guarantees for other eligible hibank portfolios worth more than Rp1 trillion.
However, the figures represent potential opportunities rather than confirmed business volumes. Their realization will depend on the partnership’s progress, credit eligibility, and applicable guarantee requirements.
Krisna said the collaboration could increase Jamkrindo’s guarantee volume and guarantee service fee revenue, known as Imbal Jasa Penjaminan (IJP). Meanwhile, both companies will align their guarantee requirements, operational readiness, and data exchange processes to improve service efficiency.
Technology will also play an important role in supporting the partnership. Jamkrindo continues to strengthen its core guarantee system, Jaguars, or Jamkrindo Guarantee System, to support operational processes and improve service delivery.
Furthermore, reliable digital infrastructure can help maintain operational continuity, manage data, and improve administrative efficiency. Jamkrindo said its technology development also considers system readiness, information security, and risk management.
Beyond the current agreement, both companies are exploring potential cooperation in other products. These include Supply Chain Financing (SCF) and Credit Based on Guarantees (KBG). However, these opportunities remain under consideration and fall outside the scope of the agreement already signed.
Jamkrindo President Director Abdul Bari welcomed the partnership, describing it as a strategic step to strengthen cooperation across the financial services industry. He said the collaboration could expand access to credit guarantees and support Indonesia’s digital financing ecosystem.
The partnership also aligns with Jamkrindo’s IMPACT transformation framework, which stands for Integration, Market, People, Analytics, Customer, and Technology. Through this strategy, the company aims to integrate business processes, expand markets, strengthen employee capabilities, improve data-driven decisions, enhance customer service, and optimize technology.
“Through the IMPACT transformation, we are developing strategic partnerships, including with digital financial institutions. We see this collaboration as an opportunity to strengthen synergies, expand access to guarantee services, and provide solutions that better meet business needs,” Abdul Bari said.
He added that Jamkrindo would continue using technology and business integration to expand its services and support Indonesia’s economic growth.
