Jakarta, ThedailyID — The Indonesian government has announced Fajar Novaryo as the winner of the public vote for the official logo of the country’s 81st Independence Day celebrations.
The online poll ran from June 24 to June 28 through the official website, logohutri.istanapresiden.go.id, and attracted 68,569 votes, Deputy State Secretary Juri Ardiantoro said during the announcement at the Presidential Office in Jakarta on Monday.
According to Juri, the winning design combines a bold visual identity with a strong philosophical message. The logo draws inspiration from traditional patterns found across the Indonesian archipelago and highlights unity through diversity.
“The shared patterns found in our cultural diversity reflect the people’s sovereignty and our vision of a sovereign, just, and prosperous Indonesia,” Juri said.
The competition was organized by the Indonesian Graphic Design Association (ADGI). Five finalists advanced to the public voting stage, including David Wirawan, Fajar Novaryo, Kanda Putra Rizkiawan, and Tiffany Johan.
The government also announced rewards for 300 participants who took part in the voting process. One hundred winners will receive invitations to attend the Independence Day flag-raising ceremony at the Merdeka Palace. Another 100 will receive official commemorative merchandise, while the remaining 100 will each receive an education grant worth Rp8.1 million.
Juri said the grant amount reflects the country’s 81st Independence Day celebration.
The government has published the list of winners on the official polling website and will contact them using the registered contact information.
Authorities also urged the public to remain alert for scams. Juri stressed that winners will never be charged any fees during the prize distribution process.
Participants can verify whether they won by visiting the official website and selecting the “Check Prize Winners” page, where they can search using their name, email address, or national identification number.
