Jakarta, ThedailyID — The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) has officially lowered the minimum stock price to Rp1 per share.
The new limit applies to the regular and cash markets. It took effect on Monday, September 28, 2026.
Previously, stocks on the IDX had a minimum price of Rp50 per share. The exchange introduced the new rule through Directors’ Decree No. Kep-00136/BEI/09-2026.
“The main adjustment changes the minimum price from Rp50 to Rp1,” the IDX said in a written statement on September 21.
The exchange said the change will give stocks a wider trading price range. It also expects the adjustment to improve the quality of price discovery.
In addition, the IDX expects the lower price limit to support market liquidity. The change should also give investors more flexibility when managing their portfolios.
The IDX has also adjusted its Auto Rejection limits. The exchange introduced the changes through Directors’ Decree No. Kep-000137/BEI/09-2026.
During the transition period until December 31, the Auto Rejection limits will follow several different ranges.
For stocks priced between Rp1 and Rp10, both Auto Rejection Upper (ARA) and Auto Rejection Lower (ARB) will stand at Rp1.
For stocks priced above Rp10 to Rp200, ARA will stand at 35%. Meanwhile, ARB will remain at 15%.
Stocks priced above Rp200 to Rp5,000 will have an ARA limit of 25%. The ARB limit will remain at 15%.
For stocks priced above Rp5,000, ARA will stand at 20%. ARB will remain at 15%.
The rules will change again starting January 1, 2027.
For stocks priced between Rp1 and Rp10, both ARA and ARB will remain at Rp1.
Stocks priced above Rp10 to Rp200 will then have both ARA and ARB limits of 35%.
For stocks priced above Rp200 to Rp5,000, ARA will stand at 25%. ARB will increase to 35%.
Stocks priced above Rp5,000 will have an ARA limit of 20% and an ARB limit of 15%.
The IDX has also adjusted Auto Rejection rules for Infrastructure Investment Fund Units, known as DINFRA.
For DINFRA priced between Rp1 and Rp10, both ARA and ARB will stand at Rp1. For prices above Rp10, both limits will stand at 10%.
The changes form part of the IDX’s amendments to Regulation II-A on equity securities trading. The exchange said the new minimum price aims to provide greater flexibility in trading while supporting price discovery and liquidity.
