Kep. Seribu, ThedailyID — Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison has strengthened its commitment to community empowerment and environmental protection by donating a motorized waste cart to residents of Pulau Untung Jawa as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program.
The donation was officially handed over on Saturday by Shatya Framudia, Senior Vice President and Head of Region Inner Jakarta at Indosat, to representatives of the local community. The initiative forms part of the company’s sustainability strategy to deliver tangible social and environmental benefits, particularly in coastal areas.
Shatya said the assistance reflects Indosat’s ongoing commitment to supporting community development. He expressed hope that the motorized waste cart would improve residents’ mobility in maintaining environmental cleanliness, helping preserve the island’s ecosystem and public health.
As one of the popular tourist destinations in the Kepulauan Seribu archipelago, Pulau Untung Jawa requires efficient waste management to maintain its environmental quality and visitor appeal. The new equipment is expected to accelerate the collection of household and public waste while extending coverage to a wider area.
The program highlights Indosat’s CSR focus on strengthening social and environmental infrastructure. The company believes that collaboration between corporations and local communities is essential to creating a greener and more sustainable environment for future generations.
