ISO 27701:2019 sets the global standard for Privacy Information Management Systems. It requires systematic, secure, transparent, and accountable data management.
The certification confirms BSI’s readiness to handle complex digital transformation challenges. The bank governs the full data lifecycle under strict internal controls. It manages data from collection and processing to storage and deletion with measurable safeguards.
The framework ensures analytics systems and AI development remain ethical and prudent. It reduces misuse risks, prevents unintended bias, and protects decision integrity. Director of Compliance & Human Capital Arief Adhi Sanjaya said BSI became a first mover in implementing ISO 27701:2019. The certification took effect on December 16, 2025. He stressed that trust remains irreplaceable in the AI and data analytics era. Technology must strengthen accountability and protect customer rights.
Beyond regulatory compliance, the certification reinforces sustainable corporate governance. It responds to rising public expectations for transparency and digital ethics.
