Bank Mandiri Taspen, Universitas Andalas Sign MoU to Develop Human Resources

Jakarta, ThedailyID — PT Bank Mandiri Taspen and Universitas Andalas (Unand) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen strategic collaboration in education, research, community development, and human resources.

The agreement was signed at the Universitas Andalas Rectorate Building in Padang on August 27, 2026. The partnership is aimed at supporting the implementation of the university’s Tri Dharma while promoting sustainable human resource development.

Bank Mandiri Taspen Business Director Mahrauza Purnaditya said the partnership is expected to create practical benefits for students, the academic community, and university employees.

“We hope this collaboration can create various programs that provide real benefits for students, the academic community, and employees within Universitas Andalas,” Mahrauza said, Friday (28/08).

The scope of the partnership includes education, innovation development, human resource capacity building, research, community development, as well as potential business development and institutional synergies.

Mahrauza emphasized that the collaboration is expected to go beyond the signing of the MoU and result in concrete, sustainable programs.

“We see a lot of potential that can be developed together, from improving human resource competencies and developing innovation to utilizing academic expertise and expanding business synergies,” Mahrauza said, Friday (28/08).

The partnership is also intended to strengthen connections between higher education and the banking industry. Both institutions are expected to contribute their respective strengths in knowledge, research, human resource development, and practical industry experience.

Universitas Andalas Rector Dr. Efa Yonnedi and several university officials attended the signing, alongside Bank Mandiri Taspen executives and representatives from its Padang branch.

The collaboration is expected to serve as a foundation for strategic programs that can be implemented continuously, while supporting human resource development and broader national development.
