Jakarta, ThedailyID — Bank Mandiri Region V/Jakarta 3 held a Ramadan iftar event and distributed aid to orphans and vulnerable communities.
The program forms part of its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) initiative. It aligns with the theme “Hargai Momen Keberkahan dengan Berbagi Kebaikan.”
The bank also organized a free mass circumcision program for children in nearby communities.
Senior executives attended the event, including Commercial Banking Director Totok Priyambodo and President Commissioner Zulkifli Zaini.
Totok said Ramadan offers a strategic moment to strengthen social solidarity through direct and sustainable action.
“Through the togetherness and acts of sharing that we carry out today, Bank Mandiri hopes to present meaningful blessings, while also strengthening harmonious relationships with the surrounding community,” Totok said on Tuesday (3/3).
He said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to staying active in meaningful social moments.
Beyond the iftar, the bank distributed school supplies for orphans, health packages, and social assistance to support basic needs.
The free circumcision program supports children’s health and delivers direct benefits to families near its operational areas.
These activities form part of broader programs carried out across Bank Mandiri’s regions.
Through the Mandiri Berbagi Kebaikan program, Mandiri Group supported more than 114,000 beneficiaries during Ramadan.
In Region V/Jakarta 3, the bank distributed aid to 3,480 beneficiaries across South Jakarta, Depok, and Bogor.
The assistance included school supply packages, vitamin support for the older people, and other essential aid.
The bank also reintroduced its annual mudik program for Eid. This year, it provides free travel to 80 destination cities nationwide.
“As an agent of development, Bank Mandiri is committed to continuously integrating social values into every corporate initiative. Through the spirit of sharing during this Ramadan, we hope to strengthen synergy with communities and all stakeholders,” he concluded.
