Jakarta, ThedailyID — Bank Mandiri organized a communal iftar, charity distribution, and free circumcision program in Region V/Jakarta 3 to mark Ramadan 1447 Hijriah.
The initiative forms part of the bank’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program. It aligns with the theme “Embrace the Blessings by Sharing Kindness” and reflects the company’s commitment to delivering sustainable social impact.
Through the program, Bank Mandiri strengthened its role as a strategic partner of the government in supporting social development. The bank also used the Ramadan momentum to foster empathy, solidarity, and community engagement.
Director of Commercial Banking Totok Priyambodo attended the event alongside President Commissioner Zulkifli Zaini, Independent Commissioner Mia Amiati, SEVP Corporate Banking 1 Eny Kurniasih Mukarromah, and Regional CEO Region V/Jakarta 3 Midian Samosir.
Totok said Ramadan offers a strategic moment to reinforce social solidarity through tangible action.
“Through togetherness and sharing, we hope to deliver meaningful blessings while strengthening our relationship with surrounding communities,” he said on Tuesday.
In addition to the iftar event, the bank distributed assistance packages, including school supplies, health kits, and social support packages for local residents.
Furthermore, Bank Mandiri held a free circumcision program for children living near its operational areas. The initiative aims to support public health and provide direct benefits to the community.
Nationally, Mandiri Group has distributed aid to more than 114,000 beneficiaries throughout Ramadan. In Region V/Jakarta 3 alone, the bank reached 3,480 beneficiaries across South Jakarta, Depok, and Bogor.
The assistance included school supply packages for orphans, vitamin packages for older residents, and other essential support.
To complement its Ramadan and Eid programs, Bank Mandiri also reintroduced its annual free homecoming program. This year, the bank provides free travel facilities to 80 destination cities across Indonesia.
Totok emphasized that as a development agent, Bank Mandiri will continue integrating social values into its corporate initiatives to strengthen synergy with communities and stakeholders.
