Jakarta, ThedailyID — Arsenal F.C. celebrated their Premier League title with a trophy parade in London on Sunday, just one day after a heartbreaking defeat in the UEFA Champions League final.
Thousands of supporters packed the streets as Arsenal players rode through the city on an open-top bus. Fans waved flags and sang club chants throughout the celebrations.
The players wore special shirts featuring the word “Champions” and the number 26, marking Arsenal’s Premier League triumph in the 2025/26 season.
However, the celebrations came less than 24 hours after Arsenal suffered a painful loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.
The Gunners fell in a dramatic penalty shootout, forcing the club to postpone its dream of winning a first Champions League title.
Despite the disappointment, supporters embraced the occasion. Arsenal had just ended a 22-year wait for a Premier League crown, giving fans a long-awaited reason to celebrate.
Midfielder Declan Rice said the team’s connection with supporters made the moment special.
“I love this team, and I love the manager. Seeing the joy we can bring to our fans is incredible,” Rice told Sky Sports.
He also promised that Arsenal would return stronger next season.
“Next year, we’ll come back and achieve even more. You heard it here first,” he added.
The club had scheduled the parade before the Champions League final. Organizers chose Sunday regardless of the result because several players must join their national teams during the international break.
While the European defeat still lingered, Arsenal’s parade highlighted a season that delivered the club’s first league title in more than two decades.
