Jakarta, ThedailyID — Offset performed at Coachella while using a wheelchair, just days after being shot in an incident earlier this month. The rapper continued with his scheduled appearance despite still being in recovery.
According to reports and his Instagram posts, Offset delivered his performance from the wheelchair. He performed several tracks, including “Bad and Boujee,” a hit from his group Migos.
At one point during the set, Offset briefly stood up to interact with the crowd. He later shared photos from the festival and wrote “REAL LOVE,” referring to the support he received from fans.
The performance came shortly after the rapper was shot outside Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood on April 6. Authorities said the incident stemmed from a dispute or altercation, though investigations are still ongoing.
Offset was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood with injuries described as non-life-threatening. A spokesperson confirmed he has since been discharged and is recovering.
“We are very grateful to the doctors, nurses, and hospital staff for taking such good care of him,” the spokesperson said.
Despite the incident, Offset’s appearance at Coachella highlights his quick return to the stage and commitment to performing. The case surrounding the shooting remains under investigation.
