Jakarta, ThedailyID — PT TASPEN and Bank Mandiri Taspen have continued their home renovation program to improve housing conditions for low-income communities.

The latest project took place in Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara, on April 1, 2026. The program focused on rebuilding homes in Desa Pagal, Kecamatan Cibal.

Officials said the initiative aims to provide safer and more livable housing. At the same time, it seeks to improve long-term social welfare.

Tribuna Phitera Djaja, Operations Director of Taspen, attended the event. Thomas Harming Suwarta, Special Staff to the Minister of Human Rights, also joined the program.

Taspen allocated Rp130 million for the project. The team expects to complete construction within two months.

Meanwhile, Corporate Secretary Henra said the program goes beyond physical construction.

“Proper housing can improve living standards and overall welfare,” he said.

One beneficiary, Rofina Yultin Rayun, expressed gratitude for the support. She said her home now feels safer and more comfortable.

Since its launch in 2025, the free home renovation program has reached multiple regions. These include Bone, Ende, Kupang, Lubuk Linggau, and Pekalongan.

The initiative forms part of Taspen’s social and environmental responsibility program. The company runs it in collaboration with Bank Mandiri Taspen.

In addition, the program aligns with the government’s broader agenda. It supports the Asta Cita vision under President Prabowo Subianto, which focuses on improving quality of life through better housing.

Looking ahead, Taspen and its partners plan to expand the program. They aim to reach more communities across Indonesia through stronger collaboration with local governments and stakeholders.
