Jakarta, ThedailyID — Bank Mandiri has disbursed Rp29.53 trillion in People’s Business Credit (KUR) through August 2026.
The figure represents 72.03% of the bank’s Rp41 trillion KUR target for the year. The financing has reached 223,284 MSME borrowers across Indonesia.
Bank Mandiri directed most of the financing to productive sectors. These sectors include agriculture, production services, and processing industries.
Through August, 64.48% of the bank’s KUR, or Rp19.04 trillion, went to productive sectors. Another Rp10.48 trillion, or 35.52%, went to non-productive sectors.
Agriculture received the largest share at Rp9.84 trillion. The sector accounted for 33.32% of total KUR disbursement.
Production services followed with Rp6.47 trillion, or 21.92%. Processing industries received Rp2.28 trillion, or 7.75%.
Bank Mandiri also provided Rp424 billion in KUR financing to the fisheries sector. The bank said financing in this sector continues to show growth.
Senior Vice President of Micro Development and Agent Banking at Bank Mandiri Bayu Trisno Arief Setiawan said MSME growth can generate wider economic activity.
“Bank Mandiri sees that business growth does not happen in isolation. When farmers increase productivity, opportunities can also emerge for trade, services, processing, and distribution,” Bayu said in an official statement on Monday, September 28.
He said the bank directs KUR financing toward connected economic activities. This approach aims to extend the benefits to more communities.
Bank Mandiri also reported that KUR quality remained healthy through August. The bank recorded a non-performing loan (NPL) below 1%.
The bank is also expanding access for businesses that have not previously received KUR financing. New borrowers reached 157,839 during the period.
That figure represents 71.75% of Bank Mandiri’s 2026 target of 220,000 new borrowers. New borrowers also accounted for around 71% of the bank’s total KUR borrowers through August.
Since first distributing KUR in 2008, Bank Mandiri has disbursed Rp332.77 trillion through August 31, 2026. The financing has reached 3.81 million borrowers.
The bank said its KUR program supports the government’s efforts to expand financing access for micro and small businesses. It also forms part of its financial inclusion efforts.
Bank Mandiri is marking its 28th anniversary with the theme “Tumbuh Bersama Majukan Indonesia.” The bank said the theme reflects its focus on growth alongside customers, MSMEs, businesses, and communities.
“Growth has meaning for Bank Mandiri when it creates more opportunities for communities and businesses to develop,” Bayu said.
He added that the bank aims to support businesses through financing and stronger ecosystem partnerships. These efforts can help businesses increase productivity and expand their markets.
Going forward, Bank Mandiri plans to strengthen cooperation with the government, ministries, agencies, local governments, and business ecosystem players.
The bank said the effort will focus on expanding productive financing, supporting strategic sectors, and strengthening supply chains.
