Jakarta, ThedailyID — Indonesian integrated platform Mekar Ecosystem is expanding its global presence through sustainable energy and wealth management initiatives.
The group recently announced a strategic partnership in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). It also secured recognition from Forbes China for its family office services.
Mekar signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Future Fuel Limited during the 11th Belt and Road Summit in Hong Kong on September 9, 2026.
The partnership aims to develop a comprehensive SAF value chain. It will connect Indonesia’s raw material supply with Hong Kong’s aviation and financial sectors.
Under the agreement, the two companies will work on collecting, processing, and exporting lipid and green feedstocks from Indonesia. They will also explore the trading of certified green ethanol.
Furthermore, the partnership includes plans for an Alcohol-to-Jet Research and Development Centre in Hong Kong. The companies also plan to invest in SAF production facilities in Hong Kong and facilitate technology transfer for SAF operations in Indonesia.
Mekar’s green energy expansion comes alongside new recognition in wealth and asset management.
On September 10, 2026, PT Mekar Investama Teknologi was named a New-Edge Family Office Service Provider at the 2025 Forbes China New-Edge Family Office Selection in Shanghai.
The recognition highlights the company’s role in connecting global capital with productive sectors in Indonesia.
Pandu Aditya Kristy, Chief Executive Officer of PT Mekar Investama Teknologi, said the developments reflect a broader strategy that connects finance, technology, and the real economy.
“These three milestones reflect the same core journey: how capital, technology, and collaboration can generate greater value for the real sector and society,” Pandu said.
Meanwhile, PT Mekar Investama Teknologi also received 3-Star recognition at the national TOP GRC Awards 2026 on September 9, 2026. The award recognizes its approach to governance, risk management, and compliance.
Pandu said the recognition strengthens the company’s governance foundation. At the same time, he described the Future Fuel partnership as a practical step toward applying that foundation to sustainable energy.
Over the past 16 years, Mekar has expanded beyond financial technology. Its ecosystem now covers digital technology, agriculture, trade financing, and sustainable energy.
The company is licensed and supervised by Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK). It continues to position itself as a bridge for foreign investment into Indonesia’s productive economic sectors.
