Jakarta, ThedailyID — TrendAI™ has expanded its regional infrastructure by officially launching a local data center in Indonesia to strengthen AI-powered cybersecurity services while supporting the country’s growing data residency requirements.
The new facility, which has been operational since July 1, 2026, hosts the company’s unified cybersecurity platform, TrendAI Vision One™. It also becomes TrendAI’s 12th regional data center worldwide, reinforcing its long-term commitment to secure digital transformation and infrastructure resilience in Indonesia.
The expansion comes as Indonesian organizations adapt to the full implementation of the Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP) and stricter cybersecurity and data localization regulations issued by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The local deployment is designed to support government institutions and regulated industries, including more than 135 banks supervised by OJK, as well as telecommunications providers and critical infrastructure operators.
Indonesia’s National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) welcomed technology investments that strengthen local data processing and national cyber resilience.

The infrastructure expansion also follows Trend Micro’s global rebranding of its enterprise business into TrendAI™ in March 2026. According to the company, the move reflects the growing role of artificial intelligence as core business infrastructure and the increasing importance of cybersecurity in enterprise operations.
TrendAI said the transformation also completed the evolution of its enterprise portfolio into TrendAI Vision One™, an AI-powered cybersecurity platform that integrates cyber risk exposure management, security operations, and AI-driven threat detection. The platform has received industry recognition from Gartner, IDC, and Forrester across multiple cybersecurity categories.

A key feature of the deployment is full in-country data residency. TrendAI said customer account information and TrendAI Vision One™ security telemetry generated in Indonesia will remain stored and processed locally. Backup and disaster recovery operations will also take place within the country.
The company said the local hosting environment helps organizations address UU PDP and OJK requirements by reducing cross-border data transfer challenges while maintaining access to TrendAI’s global threat intelligence network. TrendAI also clarified that the deployment is an optional capability for customers rather than a mandatory migration for existing users.
Beyond regulatory compliance, the Indonesian infrastructure delivers lower latency and higher service reliability. Customers continue to receive access to TrendAI Vision One™’s complete capabilities, including AI-powered threat detection, zero-trust security architecture, end-to-end encryption, and intelligence supported by more than 450 security researchers and the Zero Day Initiative (ZDI).
