Jakarta, ThedailyID — Bank Mandiri Taspen has signed a strategic partnership with IPB University to strengthen financial literacy, expand banking services, and support human capital development through education and career programs.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on August 3 by Bank Mandiri Taspen President Director Panji Irawan and IPB University Vice Rector for Global Connectivity, Cooperation, and Alumni Prof. Iskandar Z. Siregar.

The partnership aims to improve financial literacy among students, lecturers, and staff while expanding access to banking services, including payroll solutions, liquidity management, and operational banking products.
Panji said IPB, with around 50,000 students, is a strategic partner for the bank’s long-term ecosystem development.
“We want to collaborate on ecosystem development. At IPB, there are lecturers, civil servants, and employees who require payroll services,” Panji said.
The bank will also offer internship opportunities through its Officer Development Program (ODP). Students will have access to practical experience and potential career pathways in the banking industry.
“Our internship program is certainly possible. We have a branch near the IPB campus in Bogor, and our Officer Development Program regularly recruits new talent. This can become part of our collaboration,” Panji added.
Panji said the partnership reflects Bank Mandiri Taspen’s commitment to connecting the financial sector with higher education while preparing graduates for an increasingly competitive workforce.
IPB University welcomed the collaboration, saying it would create new opportunities for students and strengthen ties between academia and industry.
“Bank Mandiri Taspen brings practical industry experience, while we contribute academic expertise. Together, we can generate innovative ideas that benefit many parties,” Prof. Iskandar said.
He added that the university plans to identify students with strong potential in banking and finance for internships and future recruitment opportunities.
